Nancy Bates is the new NCRN Census Coordinator, replacing Dan Weinberg who has retired. Nancy is the Senior Researcher for Survey Methodology at the U.S. Census Bureau. She has spent over twenty years in survey methods research working as a survey methodologist and survey statistician.
Nancy's research interests include hard-to-reach populations, collection and analysis of survey paradata, and research to reduce survey measurement error. Nancy is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Official Statistics, the 2013-14 President of the Washington Statistical Society, and a recent Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
