Overview

This webinar provides attendees with insights into the new Data Protection Regulation adopted by the European Union (EU) and the policy and regulatory issues facing researchers in the United States. The first part of the presentation will focus on what the new protections are that affect the collection and processing of personal data, and the policy drivers that led to the need to revise the existing privacy directive. The second part of the presentation will focus on the policy and regulatory issues facing researchers in the United States.
